Congratulations to all of the athletes who raced this past weekend!

I am incredibly proud of my team! This weekend, each and every one of you stepped up and delivered. I know I push you hard during our training sessions, subjecting you to countless burpees and strenuous exercises, but it is all for a reason. Standing on the sidelines, watching as each of you cross that finish line, brought me immense joy. You all displayed true grit and determination. We all face numerous battles and obstacles leading up to the race – dealing with early alarms, sick kids and family, demanding jobs, and the responsibility to provide for our loved ones. Despite all of that, and despite the mental battle of wanting to quit and give up, you all pushed through and demonstrated the qualities of true WARRIORS.
Congratulations to our 70.3 First Timers

Adaptation / Recovery Week
This upcoming week is all about adaptation and fine-tuning your skills in swimming, biking, and running. Here’s a guide on how to prepare for each discipline:
Swimming:
Focus on improving your technique and efficiency in the water. Incorporate drills that target specific aspects like body position, breathing, and arm stroke.
Emphasize interval training to build speed and endurance. Perform sets of 100-meter intervals at a challenging pace, aiming for consistency between efforts.
Don’t forget to warm up properly before each swim session to activate your muscles and reduce the risk of injury.
Biking:
Increase your time in the saddle during this adaptation week. Gradually build up your mileage by incorporating longer rides into your training plan.
Practice different cycling intensities, including steady aerobic rides, hill climbs, and tempo intervals, to simulate race conditions.
Pay attention to bike fit and make any necessary adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and efficiency.
Running:
Include a mix of shorter, faster runs and longer endurance runs in your training schedule. This will help improve both your speed and stamina.
Incorporate interval training to boost your anaerobic capacity. Perform sets of high-intensity intervals followed by recovery periods.
Don’t neglect strength and flexibility exercises for injury prevention. Consider adding cross-training activities like yoga or strength training.
Remember, proper nutrition, hydration, and rest are equally important during this adaptation week. Fuel your body with nutrient-rich foods, stay hydrated throughout the day, and prioritize quality sleep for optimal recovery.
Keep pushing your limits, stay focused, and visualize success as you prepare for the test. Let’s all keep up the good work and I will see you tonight or tomorrow morning.
