Weekend Update – Feb 17 – 18, 2024

Hello CFL Tri Club Team,

I hope this message finds you well as we gear up for the upcoming weekend. Due to the weather forecast, we’ve made some adjustments to our schedule that I wanted to make sure you are aware of.

Firstly, please note that the biking session originally planned to take place at Lake Louisa on Saturday morning has been moved to an indoor session at Tri Peak Athlete, starting promptly at 6 AM. This will be a brick workout, so don’t forget to bring your running shoes. To ensure a smooth start, please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes early to set up your bike and get ready. Kindly be advised that if you arrive after 6 AM, access indoors will not be permitted.

On Sunday morning, our running session will commence from Baldwin Park at 6:30 AM. Please stay tuned to the WhatsApp group for any potential updates.

Swim Clinic

In the afternoon on Sunday, we have our swim clinic scheduled. It’s essential to register using the provided link. Please note that registration will close soon. The clinic will convene at Tri Peak Athlete at 12 PM.

Uniform Update

Regarding uniforms, they are scheduled to be shipped out during the week of February 26, with the store reopening the following week.

Lactate Testing and Moxy Meter

Additionally, we will be conducting lactate threshold testing, with the fee being $150 for Tri Club Members and $75.00 for Tri Peak Elite members. This testing can provide valuable insights into an individual’s endurance, aerobic capacity, and training zones. It helps athletes optimize their performance, tailor training programs, and identify areas for improvement. Lactate testing is a valuable tool for maximizing athletic potential and achieving peak performance with the Moxy Meter.

Using a Moxy Meter during a lactate test offers several benefits. It provides real-time monitoring of muscle oxygen levels, allowing for precise assessment of oxygen utilization and muscle performance. This data can help optimize training intensity, determine aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, and tailor training programs to individual needs. Ultimately, using a Moxy Meter enhances the accuracy and effectiveness of lactate testing, leading to improved training outcomes. If you are interested in participating, please reach out via text at 321-443-0073.

Please keep up the fantastic work, and if there are any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me directly.

Best regards, Coach Torres
