Greetings Warriors,
Saturday
I hope this message finds you well and as excited as I am about our upcoming bike session scheduled for Saturday at the picturesque Lake Louisa State Park. It’s an excellent opportunity to come together as a team, enjoy the great outdoors, and get a solid endurance workout.

Please remember the following key details for the session:
- Check-in Time: Ensure you check in with Head Coach Torres by 8:15 AM. It’s crucial for us to stay organized and start on time.
- Start Time: We will start promptly at 8:30 AM, no exceptions. Early arrival allows for a stress-free start, so please plan accordingly.
- Workout Goal: Our target is to achieve a minimum of 2 hours, focusing on skills and time trials. If you’re planning a longer ride, consider arriving slightly before our scheduled start time. This is particularly important for those with a park pass, as it allows for additional time in the saddle. Such dedication is crucial for enhancing our cardiovascular strength and endurance.
Additionally, for a safe and effective training session, please make sure you bring:
- Safety Gear: Helmet, cycling gloves (especially if you’re uneasy around Cohen), and appropriate cycling clothing.
- Comfort Essentials: Shammy butter for comfort during the ride and cycling shoes for efficient pedaling.
- Hydration and Nutrition: Water bottles filled, bike computer to track your progress, and adequate carbohydrates and electrolytes to fuel your ride.
- Post-Ride Nutrition: A snack or post-ride replenishment to facilitate your recovery.
Forgetting one of these items can impact not just your training, but others as well.
A Few Reminders For The New Cyclists:
- Safety is our top priority, so ensure your bike is in good working order and you understand group riding etiquette.
- Take time to familiarize yourself with the route and rest stop locations.
This session is designed to be beneficial for all participants, whether you’re pushing your limits or taking it at your own steady pace. It’s all about personal progress and enjoying the camaraderie of the group.
Sunday

On Sunday, we will be at the Coco Beach Triathlon with our Special Olympic Triathletes. Make sure to encourage them for the race.
Looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early, ready to pedal through our beautiful course!
