MEMORIAL DAY – MURPH Challenge

What is a Murph Challenge on Memorial Day?

Attention CFL Tri Club Triathletes!

We’re excited to announce a new challenge that will push your limits and honor our heroes: The Murph Challenge. This high-intensity workout, performed annually on Memorial Day, pays tribute to Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan. Join us in this tradition to honor all fallen soldiers.

The Murph Challenge consists of:

  1. 1-mile run
  2. 100 pull-ups
  3. 200 push-ups
  4. 300 air squats
  5. 1-mile run

Participants are encouraged to wear a weighted vest or body armor if possible, staying true to the original intent of the workout.

This is not just a test of your physical strength and endurance, but also a meaningful way to remember and recognize the sacrifices made by military personnel. Are you ready to take on the challenge? Let’s push ourselves to new heights and honor our heroes together! 🚀💪🇺🇸
