Optional Recovery Swim Workout for Friday

Dear Central Florida Tri Club Members,

I hope this message finds you well and thriving in your training journey. Your hard work and dedication continue to inspire me, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you. As we progress through our training, it’s essential to incorporate recovery workouts to ensure optimal performance and prevent injuries.

This Friday, I invite you to join an optional recovery swim workout. The session will cover at least 2400 yards and is designed to help you recover while maintaining your fitness level.

Workout Details:

Warm-Up:

  • 400 yards easy swim
  • 200 yards kick with a board
  • 200 yards pull with a buoy

Drills:

  • 4 x 50 yards (25 yards drill, 25 yards swim) focusing on technique

Main Set:

  • 4 x 200 yards at moderate pace with 30 seconds rest
  • 4 x 100 yards at a slightly faster pace with 20 seconds rest
  • 4 x 50 yards at a fast pace with 10 seconds rest

Cool Down:

  • 200 yards easy swim

Remember, this workout is optional, but it’s a great opportunity to focus on your technique and recovery. Keep pushing forward, and let’s continue to build on the hard work we’ve accomplished so far.
