At the Central Florida Tri Club, we believe in the power of community. We emphasize compassion and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. We’re excited to announce the launch of Roses of Care. It is a heartfelt initiative to give back to our seniors. It also supports youth and neurodiverse athletes in our community.
What is Roses of Care?
Every month, our triathletes will visit two senior homes in Central Florida to distribute 100 roses per home. These roses symbolize love, care, and connection—reminding our seniors that they are cherished and never forgotten.
But this initiative goes beyond spreading joy to our elderly. It also serves as a platform to raise funds for youth and neurodiverse athletes who face financial hardships. These funds will subsidize the cost of essential resources, including:
- Gym memberships
- Training programs
- Race entry fees
- Equipment needed to participate in triathlons
Why It Matters
Triathlon is more than just a sport—it’s a journey of self-discovery, confidence, and community. Unfortunately, many aspiring athletes face financial barriers that prevent them from pursuing their dreams.
Through Roses of Care, we aim to make triathlon more accessible. We do this by subsidizing these costs. We also encourage individuals to invest in their own growth. We’re fostering a culture of kindness. We achieve this by giving back to those who have paved the way for us—our seniors.
