You do not need every workout to be perfect. You need to keep showing up, follow the purpose of each session, and make the most of the opportunities available to you.

Triathlon Performance and Recovery Program Update

Our Tri Peak Athlete and Winback Triathlon Performance & Recovery Program is growing, and we are excited about the athletes preparing to begin this experience.

We are currently looking for at least four additional committed athletes preparing to race the Haines City 70.3-distance event.

The program combines:

  • Structured coaching through TrainingPeaks
  • Training-load and workout-completion monitoring
  • Baseline, midpoint, and final performance testing
  • Strength and mobility assessments
  • Recovery and readiness tracking
  • Scheduled Winback Care+ recovery sessions
  • Garmin and wearable-data monitoring
  • Education on training, fueling, recovery, and race preparation

If you know an athlete who is registered for Haines City and would benefit from a more structured approach to training and recovery, please encourage them to contact me as soon as possible.

September 12: Experience Winback in Action

On Saturday, September 12, we are bringing the Winback Clinical Immersion Tour to Orlando–Maitland.

This event is an opportunity for healthcare, rehabilitation, wellness, massage, fitness, and sports-performance professionals to go beyond simply hearing about TECAR therapy. Attendees will learn how the technology can support recovery, mobility, pain management, rehabilitation, athletic performance, and wellness services—and experience it firsthand.

Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Location: Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando–Maitland
Address: 290 Southhall Lane, Maitland, FL 32751
Parking: Complimentary

Event Schedule

10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | Introduction to TECAR Therapy

A two-hour educational session exploring TECAR therapy and its application in rehabilitation, recovery, pain management, mobility, sports performance, and clinical practice. Eligible professionals may earn two continuing-education hours.

1:00 p.m. | Wellness and Aesthetics Experience

An interactive afternoon session featuring hands-on demonstrations and practical ways Winback can be incorporated into wellness and aesthetics services.

This is especially relevant to the work we are beginning through the Tri Peak Athlete and Winback Triathlon Performance & Recovery Program. Attendees will have an opportunity to see how intentional recovery and innovative technology can complement training, movement, and performance.

Space is limited, so please register early. If you know a healthcare, wellness, fitness, or performance professional who would benefit from this experience, please share the invitation.

Coach’s Tip: Prepare for Performance Testing

Testing is not about proving how fit you are in one session. It is about collecting honest information that we can use to guide your training.

Before testing:

  • Avoid adding unnecessary intensity.
  • Prioritize sleep for at least two nights.
  • Arrive hydrated and properly fueled.
  • Use familiar equipment and nutrition.
  • Follow the prescribed warm-up.
  • Record your results and observations.
  • Do not begin harder than you can sustain.

A controlled and repeatable test is more useful than an overly aggressive effort that falls apart before the finish.

Healthy Recipe: Tropical Recovery Smoothie

Mango-banana smoothie topped with fruit and mint on a garden table
A creamy mango-banana smoothie is served with fresh fruit in a sunlit tropical garden.

This simple smoothie provides carbohydrates for energy replacement, protein for muscle recovery, and fluids to support rehydration.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup frozen mango or pineapple
  • 1 cup milk or unsweetened dairy-free milk
  • ¾ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ½ cup ice
  • Optional: one handful of spinach
  • Optional after longer sessions: one tablespoon of honey

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add water or milk to adjust the consistency.
  4. Enjoy after training as part of a complete recovery plan.

Athletes completing longer or more demanding sessions may need additional carbohydrates and a full meal afterward.

Let’s Take Advantage of This Week

The CFL Tri Club is growing, our new uniforms are available, and the Triathlon Performance & Recovery Program is getting underway.

Let’s take advantage of having coached sessions available this week. Be consistent, communicate, support your teammates, and show up prepared to work.

Progress does not happen because of one extraordinary day. It happens because we repeatedly complete the ordinary work with purpose.

Train smarter. Recover better. Keep moving forward.
