Team,
We’ve got a full week on the calendar — swim, run, and bike sessions to choose from. Look at what fits your schedule below and plan for the ones you can make. If work or family has you stretched thin this week, that’s okay. Show up for what you can, and keep building on it.
This Week’s Schedule
| Monday | 5:30 AM | Swim — LA Fitness, East Colonial |
| Tuesday | 5:30 AM | Virtual Recovery Bike (Zoom) |
| Wednesday | 5:30 AM | Swim — LA Fitness, East Colonial |

| Friday | — | Swim workout posted on TrainingPeaks |
| Saturday | — | Run workout posted on TrainingPeaks |

I’ll be in Miami Thursday and Friday, so Friday’s swim is posted on TrainingPeaks for you to do on your own. Everything else is on as usual.
This Week’s Nutrition Video
I put together a new video on race and training nutrition — worth a watch before your next long session.
Watch: Nutrition for Training & Racing →Tracking Our Progress
As your USA Triathlon Level III Coach, I like to keep this data-driven where I can. We lean on Garmin (heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep) and ReadyOS (readiness and recovery) to see how the training is actually landing, not just how it feels. If your Garmin isn’t synced to TrainingPeaks yet, let me know and I’ll help you set it up.
Bring Someone With You
If you know someone who’s been thinking about joining us — a coworker, a neighbor, someone training solo and looking for a group — invite them to a session this week. Beginners are welcome, and so are athletes with disabilities and neurodiverse athletes. We’ll meet people where they are.
CFL Tri Club athletes train and race with gear from Pure Cycling Bike Fit, Quintana Roo, Synergy Wetsuits, Roka Wetsuits, Rudy Project, and USA Triathlon.
By the way — for anyone who ever wants to go deeper than our group sessions, I also work one-on-one with athletes through Tri Peak Athlete on individualized training plans and race strategy. No pressure, just something to keep in mind if you’re curious: here’s where you’d start.
