What’s your go-to pre-race meal that never fails to fuel you up and make you smile?
Chicken and Pasta…. With Alfredo sauce LOL
Tell us about a hilarious race moment that still makes you laugh when you look back on it.
In my first year of Triathlon, I ate at a Chinese Buffet the night before a race. At the time that morning was not funny, but looking back at Pre-race and transition times… it is hilarious now! 😂
If you could create a new triathlon event combining three completely random activities, what would they be and why?
They already have this but I want to try it. Kayak, Gravel bike and trail run. It seems like it we would be a lot of fun…. I just need to buy a gravel bike! 😲 😂 😉
Share a quirky habit or superstition you have before a race.
My anxiety is all about logistics. Once I am at the start line, I know I will finish baring an act of God, so I am calm. But getting to the swim start… That’s another story. I will show up as early as possible to set up and be ready to go… I’m pretty sure if they allowed tents at swim start I would sleep there just to be sure I was ready as early as possible.
Describe your perfect post-race celebration in three words.
Celibrate with Friends!
If you were a superhero with triathlon powers, what would your name be and what abilities would you possess?
Sprocket! Unlimited FTP!
What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen while training for a triathlon?
I only saw the aftermath, but a cyclist hit and went over an overpass embankment at Wilmington 70.3. He was stuck in the mud at the bottom and fire trucks had to come to get him out. When they showed up he said “If you can get me out quick I think I can still finish!” 😂
Invent a new triathlon gadget that would make training or racing more entertaining. What does it do?
Combine Sony and Form Goggles, the Sony Playstation Tri version. Heads up display and your Garmin in the game controller! Download all game content from the cloud!
If you had to compete in a triathlon using only household items as equipment, what three items would you choose and how would you incorporate them into the race?
Knife, Fork and Spoon… I’m thinking a culinary Trifecta! 3 courses all more delicious than the last! Lol
Lastly, share a motivational quote or funny mantra that keeps you going when the going gets tough.
For my Athletes: “if you didn’t train, don’t blame me if your Zone 2 Feels like Zone 4”
For everyone: Secret of success, Fall down 7, get up 8!
