Motor Pacing

Starting this week, Tri Peak Athlete will offer Motor Pacing on Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM at the Airport, weather permitting.

What is Motor Pacing?

Motor pacing is a cycling training technique where a cyclist rides closely behind a motorized vehicle, usually a motorcycle or scooter, at a controlled speed. This method enables athletes to experience higher speeds while reducing wind resistance, as the vehicle creates a slipstream for the cyclist to benefit from.

Benefits of Motor Pacing:

Motor pacing offers numerous advantages to cyclists. It primarily helps improve speed and efficiency, allowing cyclists to maintain a higher cadence and simulate race conditions without the fatigue from constant effort. Additionally, it enhances a cyclist’s ability to react to changes in speed and pace line movements, which is crucial in competitive events. Furthermore, it fosters mental resilience as athletes learn to push through fatigue while staying focused. Overall, motor pacing is an effective training strategy for elevating performance and building confidence on the road.

Parking Information:

  • General Public: $25
  • CFL Tri Club Athletes: $10

Nutrition Supplements for Endurance Athletes

For triathletes, cyclists, and runners, incorporating sports supplements can significantly boost performance and facilitate rapid recovery.

  • Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are essential for reducing muscle soreness and fatigue, allowing athletes to recover faster after intense training.
  • Digestive enzymes enhance nutrient absorption, ensuring that the body effectively uses the energy from meals, which is vital during prolonged exertion.
  • L-Carnitine is particularly beneficial for aiding fat metabolism, providing an additional energy source while promoting recovery by reducing muscle damage.

Together, these supplements enhance performance and decrease recovery times, making them invaluable for an endurance athlete’s training regimen. You can find all these supplements at Bucked Up, where we have a 20% OFF discount code: tripeak24.
